Press Release from the Federation of Vietnamese Catholic Mass Media to Protest the Draft Special Zone Law and Cyber Security in Vietnam.

The Federation of Vietnamese Catholic Mass Media, before the international community and in solidarity with the Vietnamese people, strongly denounces and protests the Draft Laws on Special Economic Zones and the Cyber Security which are about to be imposed upon the Vietnamese people by the communist government in Vietnam, paving the way for the Chinese communists’ annexation of Vietnam.
In light of the dangerous plot of conspiracy to officially turn Van Don, Bac Van Phong, and Phu Quoc, the three strategic positions of Vietnam our homeland into the Chinese Communist's bases, eventually to complete the process of Chinese assimilation in the whole country of Vietnam as part of the secret Chengdu Agreement signed between the two communist governments in 1989, the Federation is in solidarity with Vietnamese compatriots at home and abroad, absorbed by the awe - inspiring spirit of the Vietnamese patriotism through the demonstrations in Hanoi, Binh Thuan, Da Nang, Nghe An, Nha Trang, My Tho, Dong Nai, especially in Saigon, as well as in overseas, where tens of thousands of Vietnamese people have stood up to prevent the introduction of the draft Laws on Special Econimic Zones and the National Security Act to protect the existence of the country and the Vietnamese people.
The messages of the whole nation of Vietnam sent out on Sunday, June 10, 2018 such as “Passing the law is a lifelong sin,” “Cyber Security law is to muzzle people,” “Oppose the Special Zone Law” “Down with the Cyber Security Law” “ Down with Chinese aggression” “China is the lifelong enemy of Vietnam”, “To lease out land to China is to sell out the country”, “ Special Zone Law is to enforce the sell-out of our land to China “and many other messages of the people of Vietnam expressed the heart fell love of the Vietnamese people for the country, emphasized the urgent need to protect Vietnam our homeland our fathers had built in over 4,000 years .
The Federation of Vietnamese Catholic Mass Media fully supports the peaceful and righteous struggle of the Vietnamese at home and abroad, along with the awe-inspiring spirit of the Vietnamese patriotism expressed in Hanoi, Binh Thuan, Da Nang, Nghe An, Nha Trang, My Tho, Dong Nai, especially in the beloved city of Saigon, as well as in overseas, where thousands of Vietnamese people also took to the street to show their support for the national cause, and for the people in Vietnam.
The Federation of Vietnamese Catholic Mass Media demands the Vietnamese communist government to do the following:
1) Stop the Special Zone and Cyber Security Laws ordered by of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
2) Respect for human rights and religious freedom in accordance with the Charter of the United Nations.
3) Return to the Vietnamese people the right to self-determination and ownership of their homeland.
With our complete trust in God, we are in communion with, share, and walk the walk with all Vietnamese people in this disturbing situation.
We call on all governments, congresses, political parties of all nations, human rights organizations, Amnesty International organization, the International Commission on Human Rights, and all organizations. with concerns for Independence, Freedom, and Human Rights in Vietnam, to please join us in the struggle for Independence, Freedom, Human Rights and Religious Freedom in Vietnam.
